AC Milan veteran striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has described himself as the past, future and present of Sweden as he returns to action after a long injury layoff.
The 41-year-old Zlatan, who is probably the best Swedish footballer in history, spoke to the press during the international break
He became the oldest player to score a goal in the Serie A last weekend after he netted a penalty for AC Milan.
He’s also called back to the national team, having come out of retirement and will play against Belgium in Stockholm on Friday.
“At my age you don’t think about the future… but actually I am the past, the present and the future for my country,” he said,
“The coach has selected me and that is something for me to be happy with. I will do everything I can to help the team and the country. We’ll see exactly how that will happen…”
